Linking to and Reproducing entries in The Literary Encyclopedia

We welcome the creation of links to any part of The Literary Encyclopedia and the scholarly quotation of our entries provided the that no single quotation exceeds 100 words and the source is properly acknowledged (see How do I cite The Literary Encyclopedia?).

Any other form of electronic or print reproduction is a violation of our copyright and may result in legal action for damages.

Commercial sites which wish to re-sell profiles or other information from The Literary Encyclopedia must first obtain a license to reproduce from us and agree an appropriate royalty. Educational organisations which wish to print parts of The Literary Encyclopedia for use in teaching may apply for an annual licence which will be modestly priced and appropriate to the size of the institution.
