Brian Baker

Brian Baker is currently a Lecturer in English at Lancaster University, UK. He has published books and articles on masculinities, science fiction and science fiction cinema, Iain Sinclair, Literature and Science and in a critical/ creative mode. Masculinities in Fiction and Film: Representing Men in Popular Genres, 1945-2000 was published by Continuum in 2006 and a ‘sequel’, Contemporary Masculinities in Fiction, Film and Television will be published by Bloomsbury Academic in January 2015. The Reader’s Guide to Essential Criticism: Science Fiction will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in November 2014, and he is now working on Fuzzy Revolutions: Science Fiction in the 1960s for Liverpool UP. He is also a contributor to the Curious Tales collective’s online narrative, The Barrow Rapture, which will go live in late 2014.He writes on science fiction and other matters at: http:science fiction365.blogspot.co.uk
