John Lowe

John Wharton Lowe is Barbara Methvin Distinguished Professor at the University of Georgia. He was previously Robert Penn Warren Professor at LSU, where he founded and directed the Program in Louisiana and Caribbean Studies. He is the author or editor of seven books, including the recently completed CALYPSO MAGNOLIA: THE CARIBBEAN SIDE OF THE SOUTH. He is currently finalizing a new study, FAULKNER'S FRATERNAL FURY: SIBLING RIVALRY, RACIAL KINSHIP, AND DEMOCRACY.
