James Smithies

James Smithies is Senior Lecturer in Digital Humanities and Associate Director of the UC CEISMIC Digital Archive at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He completed a Ph.D. in History in 2002, and has also worked as a technical writer, senior business analyst and project manager. His scholarly work focuses on digital humanities, the history of literature, technology and ideas, and the history of New Zealand.
