Carolyne Van Der Meer

Carolyne Van Der Meer is an independent scholar, journalist, editor and media consultant. She also holds a Master's degree from Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) in 19th-century British literature, where her specialties included the Bront�s and postmodern prequels and sequels to 19th-century novels. She is currently Deputy Editor/Book Reviews Editor of Bront� Studies, a scholarly journal entirely dedicated to the study of the Bront� family, their lives and their works.

Her first book, Motherlode: A Mosaic of Dutch Wartime Experience, was published by Wilfrid Laurier University Press in 2014, while her second, a collection of poetry entitled Journeywoman, was published by Toronto-based Inanna Publications and Education Inc. in 2017.
