Andrew O'Malley

Andrew O'Malley is an associate professor and Director of the MA in Literatures of Modernity in the English Department at Ryerson University, where he teaches courses in the eighteenth century and children's literature and culture. He has published articles and book chapters on the robinsonade tradition in Canada, 18th and 19th-century children's editions of Robinson Crusoe and on other aspects of children's and popular culture, both current and historical. His book, The Making of the Modern Child: Children's Literature and Childhood in the Late Eighteenth Century was published by Routledge in 2003.
