As an independent scholar and former Librarian, I enjoy the challenges of research unfettered by commitment to an institution. During my M. A. from the Shakespeare Institute, I became interested in the drama of the Elizabethans, particularly the playwright, Thomas Kyd. I have published articles relating to Kyd, focusing on my area of interest on the canonization and institutionalization of his life and works. To that end I have also been studying the contributions of historians and critics and I am currently researching the life and works of the Elizabethan scholar, Frederick Samuel Boas.
