María Dolores Narbona Carrión

Dr. María Dolores Narbona Carrión teaches at the University of Málaga (Spain) and focuses her research on American Literature and Cultural Studies. She has participated in many Research Projects and international events dealing with these subjects and has published numerous essays about them. She has collaborated in the organization of several international conferences on American theatre. Apart from several chapters of books (such as “La excepción que confirma la regla: La original de South Park (también) con respecto al tema del terrorismo y sus efectos”, in La Década del miedo; Dramaturgias audiovisuales post-11 de septiembre, in 2013) and articles in specialized publications (such as “Wendy Wasserstein y la unidad entre mujeres”, in Asparkía, 2012), Dr. Narbona has published books focused on American women writers such as Elizabeth Stuart Phelps (in 2006) and Sophie Treadwell (in 2007). She has also co-edited Women’s Contribution to Nineteenth-Century American Drama (2004), Codifying the National Self: Spectators, Actors and the American Dramatic Text (2006), and Otros escenarios: la aportación de las dramaturgas al teatro norteamericano (2005).
