Marta Fernandez-Morales

Marta Fernández-Morales graduated in English at the University of Oviedo (Spain), where she also earned her Ph.D. with Honors through the Women’s Studies Program, after having completed her PCGE at the University of Sheffield and conducted research at UMass-Amherst and California State University-L.A. After 12 years at the University of the Balearic Islands, where she taught American literature and culture and led the Research Unit 'Representation, Ideology and Reception in Audiovisual Culture', she is back in her 'alma mater', Oviedo, teaching and researching literature, culture, and gender studies.

She is the author of four books and the co-editor of eight collective volumes, and she has published articles in scholarly journals both in Spain and internationally. She is an active member of AEDEAN, SAAS, ESSE, and SELICUP. More information at www.academia.edu.
