James Martin

James Martin is Professor of Politics at Goldsmiths, University of London, UK. His research interests are in Continental political thought, contemporary political theory, psychoanalysis and rhetoric. He has published work on Italian thinkers such as Antonio Gramsci and Piero Gobetti and, more recently, has published books and articles on rhetoric.

His publications include: Gramsci's Political Analysis (1998); Antonio Gramsci: Critical Assessments (2002); Third Way Discourse (2003); Palgrave Advances in Continental Political Theory (2006); The Poulantzas Reader (2008); Piero Gobetti and the Politics of Liberal Revolution (2008); and Politics and Rhetoric: A Critical Introduction (2014).
