Katherine Shingler is lecturer in French at the University of Nottingham, UK. Her PhD, entitled 'Visual Poetry in Theory and Practice: Mallarmé, Cendrars, Apollinaire', was awarded in 2007. Her research and teaching interests centre on nineteenth and twentieth-century French poetry, and interactions between literature and the visual arts.
