Alison Stanley

Alison Stanley studied English Literature at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, before moving on to an MLitt in American Studies at the University of Glasgow. She completed a PhD on Language and Identity in the Literature of the Seventeenth-Century New England Puritans at King's College London in 2012.

More recently, she worked in 2011-2013 as a Teaching Fellow in American Literature in the English Department at King's College London. She is currently an independent scholar, carrying out research into linguistic exchange between Native Americans and English colonists in the seventeenth century.
