Wayne Stables was awarded a PhD in German literature from Trinity College Dublin for a thesis on Walter Benjamin. In addition to 19th and 20th century literature and aesthetics, he is interested in German-Jewish cultural history. He has published or forthcoming articles on such writers as Benjamin, Blanchot, Bernhard, Proust, Sebald and Woolf.
