Lloyd Willis

Lloyd Willis is an assistant professor at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina, where he specializes in American Literature. He has published on Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and John Steinbeck, and his research focuses on the intersections of literature and environmental politics, the politics of canon formation, and the shifting status of "middlebrow" American literature. His first book, Environmental Evasion: The Literary, Critical, and Cultural Politics of “Nature’s Nation,” 1823-1966, is forthcoming from SUNY Press.
