Krzysztof Fordonski

Krzysztof Fordonski, born in 1970, studied at Adam Mickiewicz University Poznan and University College Galway. He gained his MA in English studies in 1994 and his PhD in 2002 at the Adam Mickiewicz University Poznan. Assistant Professor at the Chair of Languages for Special Purposes, Warsaw University.

His main fields of interest are English literature at the turn of the 19th and 20th century, literary translation and history of England. The author published two anthologies of English literature (1999 and 2005), monographs of the American novelist William Wharton (2004) and E. M. Forster (2005), edited the English language translations of the poetry of Maciej Kazimierz Sarbiewski (2008), and wrote numerous scholarly articles. He is also an active literary translator, author of translations of over thirty books, both fiction and non-fiction.
