Jonathan Burgess

Jonathan Burgess is a Professor of Classics at the University of Toronto (See profile). He has published numerous articles and two monographs (The Tradition of the Trojan War in Homer and the Epic Cycle, 2001; The Death and Afterlife of Achilles, 2009). A Fellow at the Jackman Humanities Institute (2008-2009), and the author of a forthcoming book on Homer intended for graduate humanities students, he is currently pursuing an inter-disciplinary project on the Odyssey and travel literature.
