Ignacio López-Vicuña is Associate Professor of Spanish at the University of Vermont. His areas of expertise include contemporary Latin American literature and cultural studies, representations of urban space, queer theory, and Latin American film. López-Vicuña earned his B.A. at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. He received an M.A. in comparative literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Ph.D. in Hispanic literature and cultural studies from the University of Pittsburgh. His work has appeared in Latin American Research Review, Studies in Hispanic Cinemas, and the Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies. Recent publications include articles on Roberto Bolaño and Raúl Ruiz.
