Beverly J. Evans holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania (Philadephia, PA, USA) and is Associate Professor of French at the State University of New York College at Geneseo. A specialist in medieval French lyric poetry, she has published on text-music relationships in thirteenth-century polyphonic compositions and, most recently, on songs by women trouvères. Her interests extend to contemporary French literature, which she teaches regularly. Dr. Evans has been the North American bibliographic coordinator for Encomia, the annual publication of the International Courtly Literature Society, since 2005. She is also Executive Director of Pi Delta Phi National French Honor Society (USA).
