Duncan Wheeler

Duncan Wheeler is a Leverhulme Research Fellow in Spanish at the University of Leeds where he is also a member of the executive committee of the “Centre for World Cinemas” (See profile). On the completion of this fellowship in September 2012, he will become lecturer in Spanish. He is the author of over fifteen peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters; his first monograph Golden Age Drama in Contemporary Spain: The Comedia on Page, Stage and Screen has recently been published by the University of Wales/Chicago Presses. His current major project is his second monograph on the role of arts and cultural institutions in Spain’s transition to democracy which will be completed in 2013. Duncan is also Reviews Editor of New Cinemas.
