William Storey

William Kelleher Storey is Professor of History at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. He specializes in the history of Southern Africa and the British Empire, while being more generaly concerned with world environmental and technological history. Storey is the author of The First World War: A Concise Global History (Rowman & Littlefield, 2009, 2nd ed. 2014); Guns, Race, and Power in Colonial South Africa (Cambridge University Press, 2008); and Science and Power in Colonial Mauritius (University of Rochester Press, 1997). He has also written a widely adopted textbook, Writing History: A Guide for Students (Oxford University Press, 5th ed., 2015). He is writing a biographical study of Cecil Rhodes.
