Natalie Alvarez is an assistant professor in the Department of Dramatic Arts at Brock University. She has two edited books forthcoming on Latina/o-Canadian theatre and performance with Playwrights Canada Press and is currently working on a SSHRC-funded manuscript project entitled Enactments of Difference: Simulations and Performance From Military Training to Dark Tourism . Her work has appeared, or will appear, in Theatre Journal, the Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, Janus Head: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature, Continental Philosophy, and Phenomenological Psychology, New Canadian Realisms, CTR, and Codifying the National Self: Spectators, Actors, and the American Dramatic Text. She also serves as the co-editor of the Canadian Theatre Review's "Views and Reviews."
