Christopher Bungard

Christopher Bungard is an Asscoaite Professor of Classical Studies at Butler University. He has written on the Homeric Hymn to Hermes and the comic plays of Plautus. He has presented numerous papers on Plautus at the meetings of the American Philological Association, the Classical Association of the Middle, West, and South, and the annual Plautus Festival in Sarsina, Italy. His current research focuses on the servi callidi of Plautus with a particular focus on the ways in which Plautus uses his slaves to ask questions about people’s attitudes towards their own identities and the consequences of those attitudes.
