Christopher Bungard

Christopher Bungard is an Assistant Professor of Classical Studies at Butler University. He has written on humor and Hermes in the Homeric Hymn to Hermes, an article appearing in Arethusa in May 2011. He has presented numerous papers on Plautus at the meetings of the American Philological Association and the Classical Association of the Middle, West, and South. His current research focuses on the servi callidi of Plautus with a particular focus on the ways in which Plautus uses his slaves to ask questions about people’s attitudes towards their own identities and the consequences of those attitudes.
