Marisa Trubiano

Marisa S. Trubiano is Associate Professor of Italian at Montclair State University. Her recent publications include articles on the screenwriter Ennio Flaiano and Italian cinema, and the teaching of oral history. Her book-length study of Ennio Flaiano, Ennio Flaiano and His Italy: Postcards of a Changing World (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, 2010), was awarded a literary prize, a Premio Internazionale Flaiano per l’Italianistica in Pescara, Italy (July 2011). Current projects include the translation of Flaiano’s theater into English. Her translation of Il Caso Papaleo was performed in New York and Montclair State University in a bilingual production by KAIROS Italy Theater (2004-5), and her translation of La donna nell'armadio was featured at a reading at the Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò (2012).
