Kazimierz Braun

Dr. Kazimierz Braun is writer, playwright, director, scholar and educator. He is full professor of theatre at the University at Buffalo, USA. He also holds the State Title of Professor in Poland. He recieved his M.A. and Ph.D. in Letters at Poznan Univ., Ph.D. in Theatre History and Theory at Wroclaw Univ. and MFA and Ph.in Directing at the National School of Drama, Warsaw. He was artistic director and general manager of professional theatres in Poland, and directed in Poland, the USA, Canada, Germany, Ireland and other countries. He taught both at the Polish and the American universities. He published more than 40 books in five languages, including scholarly works, novels, and plays. He recieved several artistic and scholarly awards for theatre, literature, and scholarship including the Fulbright, the Guggenhein and the Turzanski Awards. He is member of numerous Polish, American, and international organizations and associations.
