JoEllen DeLucia is an assistant professor at Central Michigan University. Her research interests include eighteenth-century literature, women’s writing, Scottish studies, and moral philosophy. Her work has been published in Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature and The Eighteenth Century: Theory and Interpretation. She has also won short-term fellowships to support her research from The Huntington Library and The Chawton House Library. Currently, she is finishing a book manuscript entitled A Feminine Enlightenment: Eighteenth-Century Women’s Writing and the Philosophy of Progress, which explores gendered narratives of commercial and social progress in Enlightenment philosophy and literature.
