Katherine Wakely-Mulroney

Katherine Wakely-Mulroney is a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, where she specialises in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century didactic literature. She earned her Master of Arts with Distinction in Victorian Literature at Royal Holloway College, University of London, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts with Distinction at the University of Toronto, where she majored in English and Art History.

For her doctoral thesis, Katherine is investigating the relationship between eighteenth-century didacticism (with particular emphasis on repetition, memorization, and elocution) and both nineteenth-century and present-day conceptions of childhood.
