David Large

David Large is a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Otago, New Zealand. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Sydney, Australia, working on Malcolm Lowry's early fiction and his response to the burdens of literary tradition. His research interests include international Modernist literature, the influence of tradition on Modernist writers, hypertextual methods of annotation and the digital humanities.

He has also contributed to the online annotation of Lowry's Under the Volcano, which can be viewed at http://www.otago.ac.nz/english/lowry/.
