Jade Munslow Ong received her PhD in English Literature from the University of Manchester in February 2013. Her thesis was titled 'Olive Schreiner: Primitivism, Gender, Empire'. In January 2014 she took up a post as Lecturer in Nineteenth-Century Literature at the University of Salford. Her research interests include late nineteenth-century literatures and cultures, primitivism, global modernisms, radicalism, Southern African literatures and cultures, and postcolonial literatures and theories.
