Guillaume Flamerie de Lachapelle

Guillaume Flamerie de Lachapelle is Maître de conférences (= Lecturer) in Latin language and literature at the University of Bordeaux-Montaigne, where he completed a PhD about the idea of Clementia [Mercy] in Rome (2006). His current research deals with Florus, Seneca and the latin editions printed in France in the beginning of the XIXth century. His publications include Clementia. Recherches sur la notion de clémence à Rome, du début du Ier siècle a.C. à la mort d'Auguste, Bordeaux, Ausonius, 2011, and Publilius Syrus. Sentences, Paris, Les Belles Lettres, 2011.
