Victor Parker holds degrees from Harvard and Heidelberg. He is currently Associate Professor of Classics in the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, where he has taught since 1996. He is the author of a book on the Lelantine War, the commentary on Ephorus in the series Brill's New Jacoby, and a textbook on Greek History (forthcoming). In addition he has published some fifty articles in peer-reviewed journals on a wide range of topics in Greek, Roman, and Near Eastern history.
