Board of Agriculture founded

The Board of Agriculture was founded in 1793 by Sir John Sinclair (1754-1835), M. P. 1870-1811, who became its first president (1793-8) and served a second term (1806-13); he also saw the Enclosure Bill of 1796 through the Commons. Sinclair was assisted in founding the Board by Arthur Young. . .
