The Nore Mutiny erupted on 12th May 1797 in imitation
of the Spithead Mutiny, which at that stage was still unresolved.
The Nore was a marshalling point for vessels off the coast at
Chatham in the Thames estuary and the Nore Mutiny involved such
ships as happened to be there, rather. . .
