Anne Stevenson, described by the former poet laureate, Andrew Motion, as “one of the most remarkable poetic voices to have emerged on either side of the Atlantic in the last fifty years” (Motion, 2008, p. xiii), authored an extensive range of non-fiction scripts for radio; literary biographies; critical, historical and cultural essays; lectures and book reviews – all this in addition to the poetry for which she is justly valued and esteemed.
