Sghaier Ouled Ahmed's poetry is a lifelong/lovelong hymn to Tunisia. Commonly called "Tunisia's poet", he bestowed upon himself the title of "the poetic leader of the revolution". Alone, in a small room he named "the Poetic Headquarters of the Tunisian Revolution", or as he suggests "the Tunisian Headquarters of the Poetic Revolution" (

[The Poetic Leadership] 23) , Ouled Ahmed created a virtual space of both poetry and dissent. This started on December 17, 2010, the day Mohamed Bouazizi immolated himself, launching thus the first sparkle of the Revolution, and continued until the poet's death on April 5, 2016. In
