At the Buckingham Palace Conference called by King George V. The Irish Nationalism and Irish Unionism leaders were to discuss plans for introducing Home Rule to Ireland, in an attempt to avoid civil war. The conference broke up after three days with no agreement reached, but it had proved of some use in opening a dialogue between England and Ireland.
