On the 23rd of March, 1920 Bainbridge Colby (22nd December, 1869 - 11th April, 1950) became US Secretary of State, serving until the 4th of March, 1921. He was to support President Woodrow Wilson (28th December, 1856 - 3rd February, 1924) throughout his incapacity following a series of strokes that were largely kept secret from the government and public.
