In Germany, Social Democrats such as Eduard Bernstein develop a form of Marxism that moves away from some of its dogmas, and is labelled 'revisionism' by its critics. These thinkers question Marx's insistence on revolution through force, suggesting that a transition to Socialism can be achieved through peaceful reform within the capitalist system.
