On the 30th of April, 1970 American President Richard Nixon (9th January , 1913 - 22nd April, 1994) announced the invasion of Cambodia by US troops. This was to be the start of the Cambodia Campaign, a series of military operations in eastern Cambodia which were part of the Vietnam War.
