Members of the German Swabian League renew their allegiance for another ten years, but the Duke of Wurttemberg, the Elector Palatine and the Margrave of Baden retreat from this union to form a rival pact, which is joined by Frederick the Wise of Saxony in 1515.14180 A rival to the Swabian League is formed 2 Historical context notes are intended to give basic and preliminary information on a topic.
