A meeting at Breslau between Catholic rulers Elector Joachim of Brandenburg, Duke George of Saxony and the Archduke Ferdinand stimulates rumours of a Catholic conspiracy. This is a particular cause for alarm for their Protestant antagonist Philip, Landgrave of Hesse.
