The League is made up of the King of France, the three spiritual Electors, Münster, Neuburg, Brunswick, Hesse-Cassel, Sweden and Bavaria. Its formation is a triumph of diplomacy for French statesman Hugues de Lionne, who masterminds the negotiations.
