Short Note This is a short note

Leander Starr Jameson, British administrator of Southern Rhodesia and leader of the so-called Jameson Raid, is forced to surrender at Doornkop. The raid had been a failed attempt to incite rebellion among the expatriate migrant workers in the Transvaal, in order to overthrow the Boer republic that threatened British domination in South Africa.
