Short Note This is a short note

Louis begins marshalling royal troops, including reliable Swiss and German regiments, around Paris and Versailles and the citizens respond by forming a garde bourgeoise comprising 48,0 men drawn from the city's six districts. On 12th July 1789 Paris insurrectionists seize arms and burn down customs posts around the city, supported by deserters from the Garde Française.
