Mary Eagleton

Mary Eagleton was formerly Professor of Contemporary Women's Writing at Leeds Beckett University, UK. Her areas of research are contemporary women's writing, feminist literary theory and feminist literary history. Publications include: Figuring the Woman Author in Contemporary Fiction (Palgrave Macmillan, 2005); ed. Feminist Literary Theory: A Reader (Third Edition. Wiley-Blackwell, 2011); ed.with Emma Parker, The History of British Women's Writing, 1970-Present (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015); Clever Girls and the Literature of Women's Upward Mobility (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018). With Susan Stanford Friedman, she was the founding co-editor of the journal, Contemporary Women's Writing (Oxford University Press).
