Ronald ROMPKEY

Ronald Rompkey holds a PhD in eighteenth-century literature from the University of London (King’s College) and is currently University Research Professor at Memorial University, St. John’s, Newfoundland. He has published or edited ten volumes related to eighteenth-century literature, medical biography and French travel literature related to Newfoundland. He was made an officer of the Order of Canada in 2003 and a member of the Ordre National du Mérite (France) at the rank of chevalier in 2007.
