Rosemary Lancaster

Rosemary Lancaster is an Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Humanities of the University of Western Australia, where she was formerly Senior Lecturer and Convener of French Studies. Her research interests are twentieth-century French poetry, and the writings of women visitors in France. She is the author of La Poésie Eclatée de René Char (1994), Je Suis Australienne: Remarkable Women in France, 1880–1945 (2008) and Poetic Illumination: René Char and his Artistic Allies. She is currently preparing a book on women’s views of the French Riviera between 1870 and 1970. She serves on the Editorial Board of Essays in French Literature and Culture.
