R. Allen Shoaf

R. Allen Shoaf, former Marshall Scholar and Danforth Fellow, and recipient of two Fellowships of the National Endowment for the Humanities, is the author, editor, or compiler of 13 books, including CHAUCER'S BODY, SHAKESPEARE'S THEATER OF LIKENESS, LUCRETIUS AND SHAKESPEARE ON THE NATURE OF THINGS, and MILTON, POET OF DUALITY. Now Emeritus Professor of English in the University of Florida, he won six teaching awards in his Department, College and the University at large during his career at Florida as well as the Alumni Professorship in his Department. With the late Julian Wasserman, he co-founded the prize-winning journal EXEMPLARIA. He has published three volumes of poetry, most recently Love Words: Pied-Piper Philology (ThinkerMedia / bestthinking.com).
