Jeanne Nuechterlein

Jeanne Nuechterlein earned a PhD in History of Art at the University of California, Berkeley in 2000. Since then she has been working at the University of York in England, where she teaches and researches northern Renaissance art, particularly the art of Germany and the Netherlands in the 15th and 16th centuries. She has published on early Netherlandish painting, and her book on Hans Holbein the Younger's art in the context of Renaissance rhetoric and the Reformation is due to be published by Penn State Press in 2011.
