John Fitch

John G. Fitch was awarded his M.A. by Cambridge University and his Ph.D. by Cornell University. He spent most of his career at the University of Victoria; he retired in 1999 as Professor and Chair of the Department of Greek and Roman Studies, and is now Professor Emeritus. He has written six books and several articles on Seneca, chiefly on his dramas. They include a two-volume edition and translation of the dramas in the Loeb Classical Library (2002-04). In 2013 he published a translation of Palladius, The Work of Farming (Opus Agriculturae).
