Calin Andrei Mihailescu

Călin-Andrei Mihăilescu is a Professor of Comparative Literature, Critical Theory, and Hispanic Studies at Western University in London, Canada, the Chair of Comparative Literature at his university, and a tetra-lingual writer. In addition to his academic publications spanning a number of disciplines, he writes, prose, poetry, children stories and texts which disobey pigeonholing. His recent publications include Happy New Fear! (in Romanian, 2011), “Literary Theory and the Sciences” (ed.; special issue of Neohelicon, 2014), while forthcoming in 2014 are “Rereading Faces” (ed.; a special issue of The Yearbook of Comparative Literature dedicated to Matei Călinescu), and An Astrocentric World (essays in the philosophy of culture; in Romanian)
